clockwise M25 Closed from J10 at A3 Wisley Interchange to J11 at A320 St Peters Way. The accident occurred around 3.30 am and involved a truck and a car. Surrey police said the officers were deployed to Area J10 during the early hours of the morning.
The force confirmed that three people were taken to hospital with “serious injuries”.
All four lanes of the motorway remain closed and drivers are urged to follow the diversion during the morning rush hour.
Surrey Police said in a statement: “We were called to Junction 10 of the M25 motorway in a clockwise direction, this morning (October 12), at approximately 3.30am, after reports of a car-truck collision.
“Three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries and the four lanes remain closed at this time.”
National Highways has confirmed that emergency services are still at the scene this morning after the Road Traffic Collision (RTC).
He tweeted: “#M25 Clockwise between Jnc10 #Wisley & Jnc11 #Chertsey closed due to RTC.
“#TrafficOfficers and #Em EmergencyServices are Towards Dealing.”
The shutdown between J10 and J11 remained in effect for more than four hours.
National Highways confirmed that the clockwise extension remains closed in an update shortly after 7am.
At 7.17am, National Highways tweeted: “The #M25 remains closed at this time from Junction 10 #Wisley to Junction 11 #Chersey, where a police investigation is underway.”
Motorists were advised to use the hollow diamond diversion route.
Drivers on the J10 are encouraged to use the exit roundabout and take the third exit on the A3 towards London.
The M25 motorway between J10 and J11 is not expected to reopen until around 9am.
