This year’s MIT Tech Reunions, held online from June 4th to 6th, saw more than 5,000 alumni and friends break the record. There were special events for the Reunion Year classes, and the entire MIT community was invited to watch Tech Tech of the Pops online, learn from faculty during Technology Day, and tour the virtual campus.

Since the 123rd annual Tech Night was practically held in Pops, there was no limit to the number of alumni and guests who attended, and everyone got a front row seat. Hosted by Keith Lockhart in an empty symphony hall, the Boston Pops Orchestra performed a custom program on the occasion, featuring the institute’s favorite “Get Up All of MIT” and 1971 class. 50th Reunion Tribute Dog Knight and Carol King. The evening also included classical pieces such as the first movement of Rachmaninov’s second piano concert جس featuring soloist William Wang, a MITPHD candidate and music student at MIT’s Conservative Level Emerson program, professional orchestra In his first performance with Following the tradition, the broadcast ended with “Stars and Stripes Forever” and a (virtual) balloon drop. Throughout the performance, alumni and guests from around the world lit up the chat with congratulations and memories:
