Lincoln Hospitals ‘On Brink of Collapse’, Says Brian Health | Health and fitness

Bryan officials noted that vaccination remains the single best weapon against disease.

Ravenscroft said vaccination is the “first line of defense” against COVID-19. On the other hand, hospitalization is “the absolute last line of defence.”

One of the treatments Brian should be doing to help keep people with COVID-19 out of the hospital is monoclonal antibody therapies.

Nebraska numbers show COVID-19 vaccine still works

Brian has treated 70 people since opening his clinic on September 8. Treatment is available to both unvaccinated and vaccinated people who have tested positive or had significant exposure to COVID-19, as long as they meet certain criteria.

Those with priority access to treatment include people over 65, pregnant women and people with serious health conditions, and Nora encouraged people to see their doctors to see if they qualify.

Nora said that while the treatment is good, it can’t beat vaccination to prevent people from getting severely ill from COVID-19.

He encouraged people who had not yet been vaccinated to do so, and he also “strongly encouraged” people to receive a flu shot.

Although last year’s flu season was almost non-existent, it is unlikely that this will be the case again this year.
