Labor Department publishes federal vaccine mandate ‘within days’ – HotAir

This week, the Department of Labor announced that the Federal Register Final details will be posted Mandate the Joe Biden vaccine to employers with more than 100 employees. This was done after the Office of Management and Budget completed the mandatory review of the new rule this morning. The rule is expected to affect more than 100 million employees nationwide. It’s referred to as the “temporary emergency standard,” assuming you believe anything they have to say at this point. Of course, the options offered to non-government employers differ from those in some parts of government, but not all parts of government. This should come as no surprise, as consistency wasn’t exactly the mantra of the federal government’s policies on COVID from the start and they’re still passed around to this day. That process didn’t begin until after Biden announced the upcoming rule in September, so this entire scheme that will affect up to a third of people in the country has been put together, reviewed and moving forward within six weeks. I am sure you are already filled with confidence. (CNN)

On November 1, the Office of Management and Budget completed the organizational review of the Contingency Interim Standard. A spokesman for the Federal Department of Labor said the Federal Register will publish the temporary emergency standard in the coming days. “The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is urgently working to develop a temporary emergency standard that covers employers with 100 or more employees, at the company or company level, and provides options for compliance.”

The spokesperson added: “Covered employers should develop, implement and enforce a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, unless they adopt a policy that requires employees to choose to either get vaccinated or undergo regular COVID-19 testing and wear a face covering at work. Testing services are also demanding Educational employers provide paid time for workers to get their vaccinations and paid sick leave to recover from any side effects.”

In September, Biden announced that the Department of Labor would draft an emergency rule requiring private companies with 100 or more employees to request weekly vaccinations or testing.

The first thing to note is that this rule will give employers the option to make vaccinations mandatory. But it is an option. They can also choose to allow their employees to undergo a weekly COVID test and wear a face mask while at work. This is an option not offered to (most) federal workers and the military.

Why is this important? Because this is all allegedly done to fight Emergency And to save American lives, right? The word “emergency” is in the base description. But you can’t get it both ways. Either weekly tests and masks are good enough to combat the spread of disease or they are not. If the “medical experts” in the White House don’t think a weekly test is good enough, why is it presented as an option for private employers who handle far more employees than the federal government and the military combined?

And if that’s good enough, why not be offered that option to federal workers, not to mention all the police, firefighters, and EMTs across the country who are being forced to comply by mayors and governors who are allegedly doing so only because the federal government has ordered it. ? There is no consistency here and he is laying a lie on the idea that all this pandemic theater is a matter of life and death and requires everyone’s compliance.

And not for nothing, but I will add here your periodic reminder that more than half a million federal workers in the United States Postal Service Don’t ask them to get a shot And you don’t even have to submit COVID test results. I have yet to see our regular postal company wearing a mask, it doesn’t bother me. They are only “strongly encouraged” to receive the vaccination. But if you work for an employer with more than 100 workers, even if the employer is not remotely connected to the federal government, you may have to comply or you will be out of work.

The rule also includes requiring employers to not only offer paid time off to get vaccinated, but also pay for any recovery time you need if you experience bad side effects from vaccinations. Ask yourself a few questions about it. When was the last time your employer offered you paid time off to get a flu shot? Were you allowed to take time off if you had side effects from that? Of course it wasn’t. You had to use your own sick days if that happened or just throw them out and deal with them yourself.

The other point I wanted to make is that this rule, as I indicated above, is classified as an emergency temporary Basic. But how “temporary” do you think it really is? Strength is a very addictive drug and once you’ve let some of those jokes taste it for a while, you’ll generally need some dynamite and life jaws to keep it away from them.

This is all nonsense. It is an abuse of power for power’s sake and the Biden administration cannot even follow its supposed rules when making policy. The fact that this mandate is applied unevenly among the residents of the United States shows that they treat it as a joke, albeit a very joke. We should not take it more seriously than it is now.
