Personal terms between Zuma and West Ham are yet to be finalised.

Zouma has been David Moyes’ primary target to bolster his defense throughout the summer, although the Hammers have also been linked with Fiorentina’s Nikola Milinkovic and Marseille’s Doug Caleta Carr.

The 26-year-old has been with Chelsea since January 2014, when he joined the club from Saint-Etienne.

Zuma scored five goals last season, which was one of his most prolific goals in terms of appearances until Thomas Tuchel took over as coach from Frank Lampard.

He was an unused substitute in his first two Premier League games of the season, beating Crystal Palace and Arsenal – but starting the Super Cup with Villarreal.

Zuma’s departure could lead to the arrival of another defender, as Chelsea have been frequently linked with Sevilla’s Jules Conde.

Sky Sports News I reported last month that Conde, one of Europe’s most promising defenders, and Chelsea have held talks but he is still a Seville player at the moment and has started their two La Liga matches this season.
