Los Angeles (Spacela) — Wednesday marks the second anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that killed Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others.
Former Lakers teammate Jordan Farmer spoke to CBSLA this week about his memories of Bryant.
“When my oldest daughter was born, I have a picture that we framed of him, and we have at home, a picture of him holding her and kissing her on the cheek,” Varmar told CBSLA via Zoom. “How far he has gone to be a very fierce competitor to this gentle, healthy, earthly man. I think his children and daughters have tempered him and made him thus.”

These included 56-year-old John Altobelli, a longtime baseball coach at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, his 46-year-old wife Keri and their 13-year-old daughter Alyssa. Also on board was 38-year-old Christina Mauser who is a wife, mother, and basketball coach from Huntington Beach.
