Ahead of Monday’s media day in Tarrytown, New York, spotlighting the Knicks’ main characters, Post Sports+ looked at the roster bubble and interviewed MJ Walker, a 6-foot-5 Florida former shooting guard, who is in camp Training trying to make the list of 17 men.
The 23-year-old from Jonesboro, GA, who holds a Clemson soccer scholarship, will compete with fellow non-celebrity rookie Aamir Sims for the team’s last two-legged contract. Signed to an Exhibit 10 deal – which guarantees him $50,000 if he plays in the G League Westchester Knicks – after playing in August with the Knicks’ summer league team, Walker has been training for the past three weeks in unofficial squabbles with much of the club at Tarrytown Training Center .
