Kanye WestDonda’s listening event was filled with controversy in the true “Ye” way.
At the album’s launch party Thursday night at Soldier Field in Chicago, the 44-year-old rapper shocked audiences when he brought out DaBaby and Marilyn Manson.
Both on the receiving end of a culture of cancellation after anti-gay rhetoric and persistent sexual assault allegations, respectively, put West on a united front with the outcasts of music.

West’s event featured a replica of his childhood home in Chicago that occupied the center court.
After nearly two hours of delay, the rapper emerged from inside the pale blue house cheering as his mother’s voice chanted “Donda” over and over.
He appeared to first enter through the front door along with his eight-year-old daughter North, and another young child, but later settled on the set with Manson and Dababy.
West wore an all-leather outfit with a black face mask and baseball cap, while DaBaby also wore an all-black balaclava and sunglasses covering his face.

Head Scratches: The album release party revealed that West had replaced former house vocals Jay-Z with DaBaby which made his presence more reasonable but Manson’s appearance seemed out of left field.
Manson followed suit in an all-black ensemble and was seen painting his signature white face and a horizontal black streak across his face.
During the now polished album, it was revealed that Kanye replaced the house Jay-Z originally sang with DaBaby – which makes sense as to why he’s present, but Manson has no presence on the album.
It was the first time that Manson – real name Brian Warner – had been seen since the sexual assault allegations against him surfaced and four different women had filed lawsuits against him.
Manson denied all allegations against him.

The model also claims that Manson “stigmatized” her by carving his initials into her thigh “with a knife adorned with a swastika.”

She is one of 15 women who, according to People, accuse Manson of sexual, psychological, and physical abuse, along with actresses Evan Rachel Wood, Esme Bianco, and former Manson assistant Ashley Walters.
Since then, Manson has denied all claims, referring to them as “horrific distortions of reality” that distort consensual relationships with “like-minded partners”.
As of February, Manson was under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for abuse, the department told DailyMail.com at the time. It is unclear if it is still under investigation.
Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco was the first woman to file a lawsuit against Manson, alleging that the singer raped and sexually assaulted her.
The complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that Manson violated human trafficking laws by bringing Bianco from London to Los Angeles on the pretext that she would act in a music video.
Arrest: Manson turned himself in to police in July after an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest in New Hampshire following the alleged spitting incident in 2019.
A month later, Walters sued former President Manson for sexual assault, battery, and harassment, claiming that the Tainted Love artist made her work for 48 hours straight and occasionally groped and kissed her.
