Italian GP session times confirmed – including F1 Sprint at Monza
If you enjoyed the opening drama of the F1 Sprint this past weekend, you won’t have long to wait for the next one. The Italian Grand Prix in early September will be the second of three rounds to feature the test format this season – and will follow a schedule identical to that seen at Silverstone.
Friday will open with Training 1 in the afternoon, followed by qualification – which defines the Sprint Network – in the evening. Saturday morning will see a second and final practice session, before the F1 Sprint 100km race in the afternoon to determine the starting order for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
Given the historic Autodromo Nazionale Monza’s length of less than 6km – 5,793km to be exact – the F1 Sprint is expected to be 18 laps around the famous park, ahead of Sunday’s 53-lap main event.
