Brother, this is very odd for local news.

WDIV-TV reporter and “Resident Thasser” Victor Williams wowed during this Wednesday’s clip about Chandler’s upcoming Skatepark in DetroitPremium, a 46-year-old man named Mr. Premium offers free skateboarding lessons to children in the community.

At the end of the clip, Williams, in a full suit, rolls down a slope on a skateboard, thrusts him, and then lip tricks — all while continuing to report live.

“Victor, you are so amazing!” The commentary Karen Drew flows at the end of the clip. “I knew it was cool, but this is a whole new level.”

Williams says he’s been skiing since he was eight.

“In all seriousness – as a kid I would have killed for a new park and mentors in the skateboarding community,” Williams wrote on Twitter. “I’m glad to see that happen in Detroit.”

Chandler Park is expected to open October 23 on the East Side. You can watch the clip below or the full clip at WDIV-TV.
