I’ll take Meghan to court to see my grandchildren, says Thomas Markle
Thomas Markle threatens to take his estranged daughter Megan and Prince Harry To court to see his grandchildren.
The 77-year-old former lighting director has not met the Duke and The Duchess of SussexHis two children, Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, or his brother-in-law.
But talk to Fox NewsMr Markle said he was prepared to take the matter to court “in the very near future”.
Mr Markle’s relationship with his daughter has been strained ever since royal weddingAnd before that he made a deal with a photographer to show him pictures.
He then pulled out of Meghan’s walk down the party aisle after suffering a heart attack, and Prince Charles took his place.
Speaking at his home in Rosarito, Mexico, Thomas Markle said he is ready to bring his estranged daughter Meghan to court in order to see grandchildren Archie and Lilipet.

The retired Hollywood lighting director, who lives 70 miles from Los Angeles’ Sussex mansion, has not spoken to the Duchess of Sussex since she married Prince Harry three years ago. He has yet to meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor
Meghan later tells Oprah that her father “betrayed” her and she “I found it difficult to reconcile” with him. The relationship grew more strained as Mr. Markle continued to speak to reporters and photographers.
But as his health continues to deteriorate, Thomas said he fears he will never meet Archie, 2, or baby Lillipet, who was born on June 4.
Speaking at his home in Rosarito, Mexico, 70 miles from Sussex Palace in Los Angeles, he said: [Lili] Bad behavior of Meghan and Harry.
“Archie and Lily are two little kids. They are not politics. They are not pawns. They are not part of the game. They are also royals and have the same rights as any other property.

“…I will petition the California courts for the right to see my grandchildren in the very near future,” he added.
In the interview, Mr. Markle also criticized Prince Harry’s announcement of the upcoming edition of his memoirs in 2022.
The book, published by Penguin Random House with a $20 million advance, will cover the “highs and lows, mistakes, and lessons learned” of his life as well as last year’s Megxit crisis.
But Mr Markle suggested that “after three sessions with psychiatrists and Oprah Winfrey”, Prince would not “have much to say”.
Last month Mr Markle launched an attack on Harry and his daughter, calling them “chill” for refusing to see him – and saying even “axe killers” visit their family.
Meghan later told Oprah that her father “betrayed” her and “found it difficult” to come to terms with him. The relationship grew more tense as Mr. Markle continued to speak to reporters and photographers
“Of course it hurts, there are ax killers in prison and their families come to see them,” he said in a television interview with the “60 Minutes” program.
I’m not an ax murder. I made a stupid mistake and got punished for it. They’ve been on this show, and they talk about empathy, and there’s no empathy for me, no empathy for my family, no empathy for the world.
“If I did something wrong, it would be fine, but I didn’t.”
“I will be very disappointed that I will not be carrying my granddaughter,” he said.
He also weighed in on the couple’s controversial and highly-publicized TV interview with Oprah in March Accusing the American talk show host of abusing the couple.
I have something to say. Oprah Winfrey, for example, I think plays Harry and Meghan.
“I think she used it to build her network and build her new shows and I think she took advantage of a very weak guy and made him say things you shouldn’t say on TV.
Will vary of course, and may even sue, I don’t care. But the bottom line is that it works Harry.
Thomas also told Fox about the moment his daughter got her first taste of fame – and she was quickly captivated by it.
He said it was when she was about 12 and allowed her to be his date on the red carpet that he won an Emmy.
“Meghan turned to me and said ‘Dad, I want to be as famous as you one day,'” he said, adding that he told her family that what matters, not fame.
