HPD says a man was accidentally shot while celebrating an Astros victory

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) – While Houston fans everywhere celebrated the Astros’ win in the Major League Soccer Tuesday night, one of the celebrations went too far.

Houston police have reported that a man was accidentally shot and killed by a friend while celebrating a victory.

It happened around 6:50 p.m. in the 5900 complex of Flintrock Circle.

Houston police were called to the address for the shooting and found the victim and friend who opened fire.

Officers arrested one person at the scene and said the victim was expected to survive.
