Howard University sheltering in place after bomb threat

Howard University issued a shelter-in-place notification for its campus after receiving a bomb threat at 2:55 am Tuesday.

Howard University issued a shelter-in-place notification for its DC campus after receiving a bomb threat at 2:55 am Tuesday.

Police are investigating the threat that involves multiple areas of the main campus, the university said.

According to the university:

The Howard University Department of Public Safety and the Metropolitan Police Department are currently a sweep of the campus. A perimeter has already been established.”
