How to use Gmail on Amazon Fire Tablet.

Amazon Fire Tablets popularly do not come with any Google service. However, if you want to use Gmail on your cheap Fire Tablet, you are not out of luck. There are actually many ways to do this.

Amazon Email App.

The first method is that you do not need to download any apps on your Fire Tablet. We can use the email app that is pre-installed through Amazon.

Open up "E-mail." App

Next, type your Gmail address in the text box and tap “Next”.

Enter your address and tap. "Next."

You will be taken to the Google sign-in page. Follow the instructions to sign in to your Gmail and allow access to your Amazon account.

After working with it, the next screen will say “Setup complete!” You can now go to the Inbox. It will take a few minutes for everything to sync.

If you’ve already added an email account to the app, you can add a Gmail account by opening the sidebar menu and selecting “Add Account”.

Silk Browser.

The second method is that you do not need to download any apps, but it is a little less tech. Your Fire Tablet has a web browser and Gmail has a website. You can only use Gmail in the browser.

First, open the “Silk Browser”. This is Amazon’s custom browser for fire tablets.

Open up "Silk Browser."

Just go to Gmail.com and sign in to your account. Google will try to get you to use the Gmail app, but you can tap “Use web version”.

Official Gmail app

The latter requires the most work, but when you’re done, you’ll have Google’s official Gmail app. To do this, you’ll need the Google Play Store. Installing the Play Store on a Fire Tablet isn’t difficult, but you need to follow the steps closely. Read our in-depth guide to the whole process.

Once you’re done setting up the Play Store, you can simply search for “Gmail” and install it on any Android device.
