How to change or reset your Spotify password.

If you want to change your Spotify password, or reset it when you’ve forgotten your password, Spotify makes it easy. We’ll show you how to do this for your account.

To change or reset your password, you’ll use the Spotify website on your Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. The Spotify app itself does not offer the option to change or reset the password.

How to change your Spotify password

If you remember your current password, you can log in to Spotify and change the password to anything you like. If you want to check it out, we have a guide on how to create a strong password.

To get started, open a web browser on your device and launch the Spotify site. If you are not already logged in, log in to your account and then access the Spotify site again. This is because, once logged in, your browser takes you to Spotify Web Player.

In the upper right corner of the Spotify site, “Profile” Click on and from the menu “Account” Select.

To the right of the Spotify site, “Change your password” Section will appear. Here , “Current password” Click the field and type your current Spotify password.

Then “New password” Click the field and type the new password you want to use. “Repeat new password” Click the field and retype the same password.

Finally , “Change your password” Section down, “Set a new password” Click on

Enter the old and new passwords and click. "Set a new password." On Spotify

Spotify one “Password updated” Will show a message, confirming that your password has been successfully changed.

And that’s how you edit your Spotify account password. You will now use this newly created password to log in to Spotify on all your devices.

How to reset your Spotify password

If you have forgotten your password, use Spotify’s password reset option. It sends a password reset link to your email address, which you can use to choose a new password for your account.

To get started, first open a web browser on your computer and launch the Spotify site. In the upper right corner of the site, “login” Click on

On the login page that opens, “Password” Just below the field, “Forgot your password?” Click on

You one “Password Reset” The page will appear. Here , “Email address or username” Click the field and type your Spotify username or email address associated with your account.

Confirm captcha, and then at the bottom of the captcha box, “Send” Click on

Open the inbox for your email account and search for email from Spotify. Access this email and “Reset password” Click on the link.

Link you to Spotify “Reset password” Will take you to the page. On this page, “New password” Click the field and type the new password for your account. “Repeat new password” Click the field and retype the same password.

Confirm captcha and then “Send” Click on

Type the new password and click. "Send" On "Password Reset" Spotify page.

You have one on your screen “Password updated” A message will appear, confirming that your new password has been successfully applied to your account.

Use the new set password to access Spotify on both your desktop and mobile devices.
