It can be difficult to compare SEO salaries for different positions, levels of experience, and specialties because many companies are supportive and have restrictions on sharing compensation.

Out of 2,643 people, 2,393 told us how much they get paid (250 didn’t want to say). So, as a first glimpse of this statistic, we’re sharing our findings about SEO pay and what it has to do with experience and job title.

Most of our population was in the United States (61%) and India (12%). The UK contributed 3.8% and Canada 2.4%. The remaining respondents (20%) were spread across 88 other countries.

  • The more experience you have, the more money you can make.
  • You need years of experience to get a high salary.

In the past, SEO was known to be a simple game where you can reap huge benefits with a little effort.
