BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Red Sox advanced to the ALCS in a dramatic fashion. But before they can participate in the next round of qualifying, they have to wait.
With Tuesday’s fourth game between the White Sox and the Astros postponed, the Red Sox won’t know the ALCS opponent until Tuesday or Wednesday.
What the Red Sox do know is that they will open the MLS Series on the road, as a result of their post-season position as the Wild Card team. They’ll wait to see if they’re headed to Chicago or Houston for that series.
The Red Sox went 3-4 against the White Sox this season, and 2-5 against the Astros.
The location is not yet known, but the timeline. Here’s when the ALCS will run.
Game 1: Friday, October 15, in Chicago or Houston
