Google TV Nifty has delayed new personal profiles.

Individual user profiles that were expected to arrive on Google TV last month have been delayed, meaning that personal content recommendations are unfortunately on hold.

The company initially said new user profiles would appear on Google TV last month, but Google spokeswoman Ivy Hunt said the edge Today profiles will start rolling out “in the coming months”. News of the delay was previously reported by 9to5 Google.

This is a bit of a nuisance for multiple-use households with custom watchlists, personalized help from Google Assistant, and profile features such as eliminating the content interests of others who use the same device. Were waiting (e.g., roommates, children, etc., although Google had earlier introduced child profiles earlier this year). Sharing an experience between multiple users is like handing over your Netflix algorithm. Not ideal!

Google did not give a reason for the delay, but with all due respect, its TV experience will bring us personalized user profiles early in the new year.
