Google Search Console Product Growth Report gets more granular errors.

Within Google Search Console Reporting, there has been some improvement in Google’s product growth report. Errors are now more granular and give you more actionable errors and notices on what you can do to improve your errors with product structure data on your pages.

Notice. Google said in an update to the Data Anomalies Help page that the “Search Console now provides more detail in error reporting for product structured data items” starting September 29, 2021. Google added, “As a result, many of the issues with incorrect formatting that were previously marked as incorrect items are now specifically marked with the wrong type or format categories.”

Product report. Google first added this report to the search console in February 2019. If you have structured product data on your site and a verified search console property for that site, you can access the report on the search console here.

You can learn more about this report here.

Why do we care If you see an increase or decrease in errors on September 29, 2021, it is likely related to a change in how Google displays more granular errors in this report. Review new revised bugs and send them to your developers to fix. Then check again in a week or so to see if the errors are resolved.
