Fortnight added another virtual influence to its war royals.

Last season, another interesting addition. Fortnight. There was Guggimon, a terrifying looking rabbit creature who was also a virtual inspiration with millions of followers on platforms like Instagram and Tik Tak. Gigimon was created by a company called Superplastic – which has previously worked with the likes of Gorillaz – and is now bringing one of its characters to the Battle Royale: Jankey, a streetwear cat (I think?) That is available Fortnight. The item shop is starting tonight.

This may sound like a weird fit, but Fortnight.The growing meteor is constantly spreading in almost every aspect of pop culture, from sports to music to superheroes. With all of this, some of the CG characters who partner with Gucci and drop Christie’s NFT don’t all feel right. It’s part of a growing trend of virtual influences that move beyond social networks to places like music videos, press conferences and physical installations.
