Ford Ranger revealed to the rest of the world, looks great

The new global Ford Ranger looks very durable and more modern.

We just got Watchman I came back to America a few years ago, but the rest of the world has been enjoying this midsize truck for ages—and now, there’s about to be a new truck. Wednesday, stronghold She announced the next generation of the World Ranger 2022, and we’re already jealous of the truck that will soon be available to people overseas. (Ford Roadshow officials tell a new North American Ranger is coming, but can’t say when.)

The most noticeable difference between the current Ranger – an old truck – and this new one is the exterior design. The new model is borrowed from dissident and a bit of Bronco, making it a mid-size truck with a larger size and more solid. It’s not very different from the current Ranger, but it’s more modern and different It is enough to make an impression.

We’re pretty restricted to our Ranger’s powertrain options in the US, but elsewhere in the world they have all kinds of petrol and diesel engine choices, including a beefy turbocharged V6. In addition, global consumers are now getting a 10-speed automatic transmission that we know from many of today’s Ford products. As you’ll see in the press photos, many global markets also get a manual transmission option, which makes us jealous.

The new Ranger takes a big step indoors with its picture-shape infotainment screen powered by Sync 4.

Inside, things look good, as the main focal point of the cabin is the optional 10.1-inch or 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Sync 4. Mustang Mac E, which also uses Sync 4, the Ranger has a large number of vehicle settings and mode selections that go through the screen, rather than physical controls. We don’t like this approach from a functional standpoint, but it cleans up the interior and, frankly, today’s North American Ranger has lagged far behind in terms of interior technology and cabin finishes.

Other great Ranger Universal features include a new integrated rear side step behind the rear wheels that makes getting into bed that much easier. Like full size today F-150There’s also a neat area lighting system that can be controlled either through the car’s display or through the My Ford Pass app, which should be a boon for folks camping outside their truck.

The global Ford Ranger came in two flavors: XLT and Wildtrak, the latter of which is geared towards off-road and other outdoor activities. Soon after the launch of the Ranger, Ford will have nearly 600 accessories available for the truck, including a new range of off-road accessories developed in concert with legendary equipment brand ARB.

The new 2022 Ranger will be produced for the rest of the world at Ford’s facilities in Thailand and South Africa, with a more precise launch date expected soon. Likewise, Ford is keeping quiet about pricing at this time as well. we? We only hope that the North American Ranger will soon bend, as it lags behind the rest of Ford’s truck lineup in terms of technology and refinement — and that’s true even when compared to the much cheaper monocoque. dissident.
