Ford this week released a new comeback for 2021-2022.And SUVs due to rear brake lining failure. Because these vehicles may contain incorrectly manufactured components that may affect braking performance, they do not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards.
In documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the carmaker stated that 114,996 Bronco Sport and Escape SUVs need to be returned to dealers to have their rear brake lining checked. (This recall number includes 65,429 Bronco Sports and 49,553 Escape, as well as 14 SUVs from 2022 model year) for rear brake lining. Drivers may experience different braking performance, which can increase stopping distance beyond regulated standards and cause an accident. Ford says he is unaware of any injuries or accidents caused by the memory loss.
There is no cure for this problem yet, so owners need to be patient. Letters warning owners will be mailed on January 10.
