Clarkson purchased the plot in 2008 and Clarkson’s Farm tracks the highs and lows of the bidder in dealing with its 1,000-acre working farm.

Viewers saw Clarkson and his team of fellow farmers deal with the worst agricultural weather in decades, stubborn animals, unresponsive crops, and an unexpected epidemic.

The presenter recently revealed that he was “the happiest of his life ever” and that he “loved every second” of filming the hit new show.

It comes after Jeremy replaced the roof of Diddly Squat’s farm shop last week after losing an appeal for planning permission.

Workers were seen replacing the green steel roof with Cotswold tiles on Tuesday to please planners.

It was revealed in April 2021 that Clarkson had lost an appeal against a planning decision that the materials he used to build the store were not ‘visually harmonious’ with the neighboring Cotswolds properties.

Many locals had already expressed their opposition to the plans when first seeking approval. The “The Grand Tour” host took that earlier setback in his stride and said he didn’t blame those who were complaining — adding, “Otherwise what’s the point of planning permission.”

Clarkson had to close his farm shop for two months after the local council demanded that the roof be changed.

The property was so popular with locals and those from further afield, that many flocked to the farm on New Year’s Eve before it closed for eight weeks.

Before closing, Diddy Squat Farm sent customers a message saying, “Thank you to everyone who visited. Happy New Year. See you March. The milk machine remains open 24/7.

The store describes itself as “a little barn full of no-nonsense goodies that you’ll love.”

Clarkson’s Farm first series is available on Amazon Prime Video.
