football

As first reported by the Boston Herald Wednesday morning, the success of the New England Revolution forced the MIAA to switch up their Super Bowl plans at Gillette Stadium. With MLS play-off games available in Gillette on Tuesday, November 30 and Saturday, December 4, the Super Bowl games will remain in Gillette but on different days than the regular Friday and Saturday in December.

There will be three-way matches on Wednesday, December 1 and Thursday, December 2 (3, 5:30 and 8pm kick-off times. The other two games are scheduled for Monday, December 6 at 5:30 and 8pm.

What is not specified is what teams will play at and for the length of the quarters (10 or 12 minutes). If the MLS schedule changes, the schedule for Monday matches may be re-evaluated.
