Notable players in IR, PUP, Commentary, etc.

RB Miles Sanders (IR): Sanders was stormed against the Raiders in the first game of the season in which Nick Sirianni seemed to prioritize the running game. Sanders’ injury isn’t the end of the season. It will probably only come out for a few weeks. Running featured heavily in each of the two games Sanders missed.

Written by Brandon Graham (IR): Graham’s season ended with an Achilles tear. On the pitch, Graham was arguably the Eagles’ best defensive player in 2020. It’s clear since his loss that the Eagles have missed his passing and running stopper contributions, and the Eagles have not been able to adequately replace him. Off the field, Graham has unlimited energy and positivity, and he’s a player you’d only want to be around if you were a head coach in the NFL.

RG Brandon Brooks (IR): Brooks suffered a chest injury against the 49ers. It’s “only” a muscle strain, as opposed to a rip, so while time (about 8 weeks, per Lynne Johnson) will likely be lost on injured reserves, it’s not a season-ending injury. Brooks was injured in the second week, so the tenth week would be eight weeks. Nick Siriani was asked about Brooks’ potential return, but no useful information was provided.

LG Isaac Seumalo (IR): Seumalo was ejected from the field in the Eagles’ loss to the Cowboys. His season ended after he had surgery for Lisfranc’s injury.

We will update with Bronco injuries as they become available.

Notable players in IR, PUP, Commentary, etc.

Edge Bradley Chubb (IR): Chubb is the previous fifth year check. He had 7.5 bags in 2020, but he’s not yet broken in the way Denver had hoped. He’s on the IR with an ankle injury.

RG Graham Glasgow (IR): start RG. Glasgow broke his ankle against the Cowboys. This season is over. Outstanding Quinn Meinerz is likely to fill in the Rookie Senior Bowl in RG.

WR KJ Hamler (IR): Humler was a 2020 second-round pick from Penn State. He’s a lightning-fast slot corner where he had 30 catches for 381 yards and 3 TDs as a beginner. His season ended with a ruptured ACL.

WR DaeSean Hamilton (NFI): 81 catches for 833 yards and 5 TDs from 2018-2020. He has a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

LB Alexander Johnson (IR)Johnson led the Broncos in 2020 with 124 interventions.

LB Josie Jewel (IR): Jewell finished second in the Broncos in 2020 scoring 112 nuts.

LB Micah Kiser (IR)Bronco Kaiser was signed out of the Rams’ coaching squad earlier this season. His absence is perhaps only noteworthy because Denver has already lost two midfielders. Kiser had a brutal match with the Rams against the Eagles at Philly last season.

CB Press Callahan (IR)Callahan has played in 8 games this season, 3 starts. He has 4 breakout passes and a sack.

Players in reserve / COVID-19

QB Drew LockLuke had a promising rookie season, followed by a bad second season, and now he’s the backup quarterback.

LB Justin Strnad: 9 matches, 5 starts. Strnad struggled when he played.

CB Michael Ojimodia: Ojemudia was a pick for the third round of the Broncos in 2020. He played in all 16 games, starting in 11, with 62 tackles, 6 interrupted passes and 4 assists as a starter, he has sustained a hamstring injury and has yet to play this season.
