Cyclist hit by driver in southern San Jose last year from injuries – CBS San Francisco

SAN JOSE (CBSSF) – A cyclist who was hit by a driver in southern San Jose last October died this week of complications from his injuries, police said.
On the night of October 7, the victim was riding a motorcycle in the area of Santa Teresa Street and Blossom Street. The cyclist was riding through the lanes of traffic when he was hit by a driver in a Honda sedan.
Police said the driver was given a green light in his direction.
After the accident, the cyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police said he settled and was released sometime after that.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. There were no signs that drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

Police said the victim was recently taken to hospital due to complications related to the injuries he sustained in the accident. The victim died on Monday of his injuries.
The victim’s name will be revealed by the Coroner office in Santa Clara County.
San Jose police said the victim was the eighthy Traffic accident deaths so far this year.
