“He brought a lot to the team. The driving factor, he wants to win in training, he wants to win games and he wants to win titles, that’s the main thing. It’s great to be there to watch what he’s doing.
“You can learn a lot of things from him. He is one of the best players in the world. Bringing him home is perfect for us at the moment.
“He’s really humble. He’s a positive person. He learned different things off the pitch and in addition to that he was really good. I think he can really help the team this season.”
Arteta Appointed Manager of the Month
Arteta was named Manager of the Month after Arsenal won all three of their league matches in September.
Their appearance is included in the figure Sure win 3-1 in the north London derby against Tottenham, as well as decisive victories against Burnley and Norwich.
These victories helped lift the club to 11th place in the table after a difficult start to the season as they suffered three consecutive defeats in their opening matches.
“I suspect [this award] It represents the way everyone has been together, worked and been positive in difficult moments and continued to do their work with the right mindset, right ambition, work and the right direction.”
“So this is for them. I get it [the award] But it’s for all the people behind it.”
Former Arsenal striker Paul Merson believes that The club can compete for the top four this season under Arteta If he can keep the majority of his team fit.
“They’ve set themselves a benchmark now, they’ve put the bar there, and now the good teams stay at that level,” Merson said.
“I didn’t expect them to lose to Tottenham at all, because they’ve been very lucky with their results so far.
“Mikel Arteta had a lot of injuries at the beginning of the season and what I liked about him is that he went to Burnley with a very attacking team, under pressure, he took the opportunity and hit the ball when they were exposed to it and they played.
“And he did in that match and they were great when everyone thought they were going to be bullied.”
Townsend screaming his goal of the month
The Goal of the Month award was awarded in September to Everton midfielder Andros Townsend, for his impressive long-range effort against Burnley.

Neville: Ronaldo’s exit puts pressure on Ole
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started Ronaldo on the bench last weekend as they drew 1-1 at home to Everton and the player was caught hurrying out of the tunnel at the final whistle.
Solskjaer defended his team selection but the decision came under the spotlight and Ronaldo’s behavior was nothing more than an invitation to further scrutiny.
Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville reflected on Ronaldo’s body language in his latest broadcast, and he believes the returning Old Trafford champion has pressured his coach.
“I watched the match and watched him leave,” Neville said. “I can’t say I loved it.”
Is Cristiano upset when he doesn’t play? Yes. Is Cristiano upset when he doesn’t score? Yes. Is Cristiano upset when the team doesn’t win? Of course.
“We know these things. He doesn’t have to prove it.
“He walks off the field, muttering to himself, asking questions in the air. What’s he saying? Who’s bothering him? He can only go back to the manager.”
