Colorado weather: near record high Monday at 70 degrees; The next storm system is 8 days

Denver (KDVR) – Expect an abnormally warm, dry day with a near-record high of 70 degrees in Denver. 74 degrees were recorded in 1899. The highest normal is now 47 degrees, making today 23 degrees above normal.

The mountains would remain unnaturally warm and dry with uplands in the valleys in the 1950s.

Tuesday’s highs will drop by 10 degrees in Denver, and then return to 70 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will dip a bit into the 50s this weekend.

The next storm system will be in sight with chances of rain/snow around December 7. There are no guarantees with this storm system because there is a powerful high pressure dome controlling the west.

Possible next storm system on 12/7 with a dip in the jet stream.
