CEC coaching is about ‘having a second set of eyes’
Earlier this month, Cowboy Ventures Ted Wang joins us at TechCanch Early Stage: Marketing and Fundraising, where he talks about executive coaching and why he encourages founders to hire CEO coaches in his portfolio. ۔ Wang, who has an executive coach of his own, sees coaching as a key way to drive sustainable personal growth, which he believes separates midwives from the best of CEOs.
Why CEOs Need Coaching
Wang says that just as professional players still need coaching at the top of their game, the executive may need external endorsement and comment on where they are and what they are not providing. ۔ This insight can be difficult for executives to grasp on their own and may require a level of honesty that may be a challenge for CEOs to expect from anyone in their company.
