Nissan and Volkswagen were among the vehicles targeted in a series of catalytic converter thefts one evening in Mildenhall.

Suffolk Police said the thefts occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 11 in the city.

In the first incident, the dark-clad perpetrators stole a converter headlight from a Honda Accord in Clear Close.

At St Catherine Close, a Volkswagen Beetle has been hijacked by four people and its converter stolen.

Then, at College Heath Road, an adapter was taken from the Vauxhall Astra.

The suspects in the recent theft were seen fleeing in a vehicle that may have been a Nissan Qashqai.

They were described as four or five men who wore masks.

A dark-colored BMW X1 was also seen in the area, which the police are keen to track.

Anyone with information related to the robberies is asked to contact the police, citing 37/63735/21 for the first robbery, 37/63737/21 for the second and 37/63739/21 for the third.

Police are also urging motorists to identify catalytic converters, keep vehicles in secure buildings or garages where possible, and use lighting and security cameras to deter criminals.
