If you told me that my first CMAs, I was going to play the organ and sing with Zac Brown Band, I’d never believe you. But, that’s the wonderful thing about life’s journey.”
Caroline tied the knot with Zac Brown on a comeback tour this year, after returning from a long stay in New Zealand, where she fell in love with not only the country and its people, but also her current fiancé. “I’ve been touring with ZBB this whole year and being a part of their family and culture and learning a lot,” she said. “They really helped me and took me under their wing, and I became a better musician. He inspired me a lot. So, as you can see, I am over the moon.”

A lot of that album was finished there and I wrote some songs recorded in New Zealand as well,” Caroline explained. “I called him Entreprise, which means the other end of the world, so it’s New Zealand slang. And all the visuals, all the photography, all the videos, like we filmed everything there. I’m very happy to be able to give a part of that time in my life to people, through this record.”
One of the last songs on the album is “So Many Skies,” which was co-written by Caroline with her fiancé. “It’s probably the most special song on the album. It’s so meaningful to me and to Nick, it’s our story,” she revealed. Half of the song is about Nick’s life before he met me, and the other half about my life before I met him. Then the end is about a kind of our meeting together and the start of our lives together.” She joined her Matthew Ramsay of Old Dominion on the track, which she described as “a remarkable and special moment.”
