Aaron Lennon returned to Burnley on a one-year contract after a stint with his former club.
The 34-year-old winger was a free agent following his departure from Turkish side Kayserispor, who made 36 appearances last season.
The former England international joined Burnley from Everton in 2018 and played 41 Premier League games and scored once before leaving two years later.
“We are pleased to confirm that winger Aaron Lennon has agreed a deal to return to Turf Moor as a Burnley player,” Clarets said on Twitter.
Lennon joined directly in Burnley’s starting line-up for the Carabao Cup second round match with Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Lyon have accepted Burnley’s £15m offer for the Ivory Coast left-back Maxwell Cornet.
Turf Moor have also signed goalkeeper Wayne Hennessy as well as defenders Nathan Collins and Jacob Bidow this summer, while Ben Gibson has left to join Norwich and is loaned to Billy Peacock Farrell and Lucas Jensen.
