Los Angeles (Spicela) — A large commercial textile company has caught fire in downtown Los Angeles early Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 3:26 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Tarlton Street.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, it looked like a large open-air fire spread to the commercial building.
The fire department said the flames were so large and widespread that fire crews were forced to take a more defensive stance.
Another neighboring building was also exposed to flames, but it appears that it has had superficial damage to the roof. The fire did not extend to the building.
There was no word on the cause of the fire. It is not clear if anyone was inside the building at the time of the fire, or if there were any injuries.
This also comes after another big fire Rip through the mall in South Los Angeles on Thursday night which also houses the textile business.
