Bernard hints at Everton exit approaching with Lucas Digne message
A social media message posted by Bernard to his Everton teammate Lucas Digne suggests the Brazilian playmaker may soon leave Goodison Park.
The Toffees’ left-back Digne took to Instagram to thank his 1.9 million followers for their birthday messages when he turned 28 on Tuesday.
Bernard’s response made Everton think it was goodbye.
“HB my bro,” Wing wrote to Digne. “I always wish you and your family the best in your life. I love you, and I will miss 1, 2 ♥️”
Such as ECHO reported last weekBernard appears to be nearing the exit door this summer with Everton looking into a potential deal with a club in the United Arab Emirates while teams in Greece and Russia are also interested in the 28-year-old.
One of Goodison Park’s highest-earning players, Bernard, having joined on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018, started just two Premier League games last season and was on the field with a total of 448 minutes in 12 games.
He managed to score three goals, scoring in an emphatic 5-4 victory over Tottenham in the FA Cup as well as consolation in the 3-1 defeat at home to Manchester United.
Bernard was on the verge of joining Al Nasr in Dubai during the January transfer window but the deal fell apart. Now, however, he appears to be on his way.
