Beachgoers get close to manatees at Fort Myers Beach – WSVN 7News | Miami news, weather, sports

FORT MYERS BEACH, FL (WSVN) – Beach-goers got a first-hand look at a flock of manatees in Fort Myers over the weekend.

The herd was seen at Lover’s Key on Sunday.

Video taken by Renee Verriello shows manatees in the water while passersby look on.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife, manatee mating season typically begins in April and lasts through November.
