Google released a major UI update to the Android TV interface in February this year. The new interface is similar to the Google TV UI and emphasizes helping users discover new content on the platform. However, it has fewer tabs on the home screen. Google in July of this year introduced another update to the UI focused on this new discovery, which introduced three new features, including a watch list. The UI is now coming to more TVs in more areas, and it comes with a minor home screen UI change.
Android TV UI update recently started appearing for some users in India, Brazil and Europe. Clicking on the ‘New Features Now Available’ dialog gives you an overview of UI and navigation changes, personalized recommendations, and home screen customization.
