Analysts say there is a risk of pre-ordering the Apple Watch 7 tomorrow or waiting until next year.
The Apple Watch 7 is set to go on sale on October 15, with pre-orders for the new smartwatch to open on October 8.
Some are predicting that the supply for the new smartwatch will be limited, so if you want to buy one in the coming weeks, you will want to confirm your order instead of waiting to buy it on the release date.
Liu Gabby, principal analyst of connected devices at CCS Insight, told TechRadar, “The iPhone 13 has been extraordinarily popular since its launch and we’ve noticed that it’s in stock in many places, including Apple’s own website. Out of order, this means that customers who did not pre-order missed
“I predict the supply of the watch could be even tougher.”
The iPhone 13 went on sale in a few days, with some areas showing the device out of stock just three days after the pre-order went live. For example, ordering an iPhone 13 Pro in the UK from Apple’s official website will now take more than a month.
Gabby continues, “Apple did not announce the launch date when it unveiled the Apple Watch Series 7, and the gap between the iPhone and the Watch release could indicate the need for additional time to manage supply.”
“That’s why I think watch opioids would like to pre-order to stay in a safe place, especially when demand increases until the holiday season.”
The story so far
The company has been plagued by supply chain problems for the past two years, including the iPhone 12 series, which was released in two waves in 2020 to ensure that Apple could make enough handsets.
“Although the company is in a better position to handle the supply, it has still struggled at times and talked about its revenue constraints on multiple products due to component availability,” says Gabby. ۔ “
Back in July 2021, Tim Cook told an investor call, “Most of the hurdles we’re seeing are what I think others are seeing, that I would classify as industry deficits. ۔ “
Cook was referring specifically to iPhone, iPad and Mac Lines products, but it is thought that the company is also facing supply chain problems for the Apple Watch family.
Could it be something else?
Prior to the release of the Apple Watch 7, a Bloomberg report quoted a person familiar with the matter as saying that product development had affected some “production snags”.
This is believed to be due to the new size of the display, especially rather than doing something with the company’s supply chain. This may mean that the company has more stock than Gabby and others predicted, but there is no guarantee yet that it will.
It may be that instead of releasing the production sneakers along with the iPhone 13 due to supply chain issues, Apple delayed launching its smartwatch until October 15.
Only time will tell, but if you are anxious to get a new Apple Watch 7 as soon as possible, you will want to keep an eye on the deals on Friday, October 8 and get your confirmation as soon as possible.
If you wait until October 15, you may lose and you may not get your Apple Watch for at least a few months.
