One of the most annoying things about starting any video call is the process of resolving voice quality issues like a permanent echo. Google recently announced an update to Google Mate to address this issue.
Google Mate will now notify you when your audio is resonating with others. In other words, even though you can’t hear the echoes of others in the call, you can hear the echoes coming from your computer. When this happens, Google Mate will now display a notification on your screen. Clicking on this notification will take you to the Google Met Help Center where you will see suggested steps to resolve the echo issue.
Applications for education.
Students have a hard time focusing on your online instruction without having to worry about poor audio quality. If you’re using Google Mate for classes this year, this echo notification in Google Mate can help your students improve meeting quality and pay attention to your instructions.
Like almost all updates to Google Workspace Tools, this update will launch in a few weeks.
