Who is Gregory McKechill?

Gregory McMichael, 65, is a retired white law enforcement officer.

Employment records show that he failed to complete adequate basic law enforcement training, and The Guardian reported.

She adds that this led to him losing his arrest authority in 2006, for not having completed the 20 hours of training required the previous year.

McMichael was an investigator in the Brunswick District Attorney’s Office from 1995 to 2019.

News4Jax “For eight years, Gregory McMichael has been working as an investigator without arrest powers due to lack of training,” he adds.

The site explains: “Delays in state-mandated community policing training, de-escalation, and use of force meant, between 2006 and 2014, that McMichael did not have the authority or right to apply for warrants, search warrants or arrests under the color Law “.
