A fired Apple employee who broadcast workplace concerns has been cleared to sue the company.

An Apple employee who spoke out publicly about workplace issues and was recently fired for allegedly leaking classified information has been fired by a civil rights enforcement agency. A lawsuit against the employer is allowed.

Ashley Gojok confirmed Friday that she has received approval from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing to file a private lawsuit against Apple. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

According to documents viewed by AppleInsider.Gajuk details a range of disturbing allegations, some of which are dated to Twitter and its website.

For nearly four years, Gozuk claims to have been sexually abused, harassed, bullied and retaliated against by managers and colleagues. In March 2021, a former Apple employee raised concerns about potentially hazardous waste pollution in his office and filed a workers’ compensation claim, an action that allegedly sparked additional retaliation.

Attempts were made to rectify the situation through employee relations channels in April, but inquiries, including an alleged ongoing investigation, were fruitless and potentially bad.

Similar claims were made in a complaint to the National Labor Relations Board in late August. Gojok had to file an affidavit in the matter today.

In a vague series of incidents on Thursday, Apple accused Gozok of leaking “confidential product information” and demanded his immediate involvement in an active investigation. He expressed readiness to cooperate in an email correspondence with a member of the Apple threat assessment and workplace violence team, provided that the conversation was in writing, but an ER representative declined to comment. Rejected and later cited his decision not to “participate in the debate.”

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The development comes as Apple faces growing criticism from employees who feel the tech giant is tackling allegations of harassment, sexism, racism, inequality and other workplace issues. Doesn’t work well enough. Some of these claims have been exposed by a group called Apple Two, which wrote an open letter last week calling for action from Apple CEO Tim Cook and senior management.
