Court documents claim that an altercation on a cruise ship that ended with more than a dozen family members disembarking from the ship broke out after someone stepped on a passenger’s shoes.

Shocking footage captured a group of passengers engaged in a bloody battle before security was forced to intervene and detain the family while the ship was docked.
Three members of the Al-Zakhour family are now suing the cruise company PLC alleging that security violently assaulted them before falsely imprisoning them on board.

Shocking footage captured a group of passengers getting into a bloody battle before security had to step in and detain the family while the ship was docked.
Carnival PLC has filed a defense in district court to prepare a list of allegations against the family.
They alleged that members threw racial abuse at security, criticized staff when their supply of alcohol was cut off, and sparked a fight with other passengers, Herald Sun mentioned.
The PLC alleges that Zaki’s son Zakkour, 52, stepped on a passenger’s shoe two days before the scuffle broke out.
Court documents alleged that Mr. Zakhour then engaged in a heated argument with the passenger before assaulting them the following day.
The Palestinian Legislative Council alleges that Zakhour grabbed the passenger by the throat while other members of his family threatened to kill him.
Zakhour said in his statement that when the security forces intervened, he was punched in the head and kicked on the ground.
He claimed that the security chief shouted at him: “I will kill you and your son.”

The Palestinian Legislative Council defended the actions of the security staff, saying that Mr. Zakhour and his son had been handcuffed before being moved to separate rooms.
PLC alleged that the staff were acting under the captain’s orders and used “reasonable use of force” to ensure the safety of its other passengers.
The cruise company claims that Zakhor’s family and friends were involved in several accidents while on the cruise ship.
They allegedly removed their anger from employees when their liquor privileges were revoked and paid a guard after they were refused entry to a nightclub.
The PLC alleges that its members threatened passengers near a pizzeria, strangled a security guard, and told employees to “be prepared for a wrestling.”
The matter will go to trial next year.
