3 wounded in two separate shootings around the same time in West Town, West Garfield Park
Three people were injured Saturday morning in two separate shootings around the same time in West Town and West Garfield Park.
Chicago police said two men, 25 and 34, were on the sidewalk around 1:35 a.m. when both were shot in the leg in the 2100 block of West Division Street on the North West Side.
Police said the young man himself was taken to Rush University Medical Center, where he was in good shape.
Police said the older man was himself taken to St. Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and taken to Stroeger Hospital, who is also in good condition.
At about the same time, a 24-year-old man was standing outside about five miles southwest at 4300 block of West Maypool Street on the West Side when he was shot in the back, stomach and arm, police said.
Police said he was taken to Ströger, where he was in critical condition.
None of the attacks was under arrest.
