2 men charged with second-degree murder in connection with Alberta First Nations’ suspicious deaths

EDMONTON –

Two men are on trial for second-degree murder after a 41-year-old man was found dead in a home in the Alberta First Nation, to which the RCMP responded for complaints of “multiple shots fired.”

The RCMP says Conrad Oliver Boostrom of Lac La Biche, Alta., Was killed in the Beaver Lake Cree Nation incident last Saturday.

On Tuesday, Mounties Tyrone arrested Jake Deschambeau, 28, of Lac La Biche.

Wayne Ryan Blood, 37, also from Lac La Biche, was arrested a day later.

Both men remain in custody after bail hearings and are due to appear in Lac La Biche District Court on November 29.

“As this case is now before the courts, no further information can be provided,” the RCMP said in a statement.

Beaver Lake Cree Nation is located approximately 105 miles northeast of Edmonton.
