18-year-old accused of fatal mother shooting on Staten Island Home – CBS New York

New York (CBS New York) An 18-year-old faces murder charges after his mother was shot dead Staten Island Homepage.

According to the authorities, Adnan Belenkovic got into some kind of argument with his parents in their home on Burbank Street in new village Saturday section at about 6:30 p.m.

Police said officers found Minir Belinković, 51, with serious chest wounds from the shooting. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The teenager’s father, Enver Belinkovic, 54, was found with a wound to his chest but refused medical attention, according to police.

CBS2 was present as Adnan Belenkovic walked out of District 122 earlier on Sunday to be brought to trial on several charges in criminal court, including murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

According to a Staten Island County District Attorney’s criminal complaint, CBS 2: “I shot my parents” and “I tried to kill them,” said CBS2’s Lisa Rosner.

Neighbors said the couple had four other children and that the son was the youngest and stopped going to school several years ago.

“They tested him for a lot of things, but he’s kind of, well, so aloof, so aloof that even….he’s homeschooled.
